>>SILENT HILL<<
ENEMIES AND BOSSES

- - - >>ENEMIES<<
GROANER

They have high stamina and low attack power. They only take a few hits to kill. They run very fast and, once spotted, will repeatedly attack you, doubling back to attack more. They are found all throughout the game, but mostly outdoors.
AIR SCREAMER

They are air-bound with much stamina and low attack power. A few bullets will take them down. they are fast, even faster than Harry, and will catch up to attack you. Avoid them by running in a zigzag pattern - it is difficult to end pursuit once one spots you. Sometimes they are found walking around, or standing in wait for prey. They are found all throughout the game, but mostly outdoors.
CREEPER

These critters are usually in packs and are very easy to kill, but it is the sheer speed and quantity of these things that can cause problems for you. One bullet and the heel of your boot is all you need to take them out. They are usually found populating the schools, basements, and sewers.
CLAW FINGER

These enemies are the most common enemy in the game in the UK and Japan versions, but only make their appearance in the sewers of the US versions. They are very much like the Mumblers. They will attack you with their claws with a quick swipe, or grab you, giving other enemies a chance to move in for an attack.
MUMBLER

Most common enemy in the game for the US version and seem to be completely taken out of the UK and Japan versions. They make their appearance in the school, but are also found in some select areas. They have a high attack power, but move fairly slow. they like to attack in groups where one will grab you and hold you down, and others will swipe at you with their knives. They are hard to avoid as they leap at you the second you try to run by.
ROMPER

These enemies have a very high stamina and very high attack power. They can and will catch up to you in a chase, just to jump on top of you and chew on you. They are hard to avoid, and a little hard to kill. They are found all over Central and Resort Area of Silent Hill. Stay far away from them, by all means.
PUPPET NURSE

These were once normal people, but now they are possessed by a demon in their backs. They have a high attack power and will run at you. If surrounded, one will hold you as the other takes sucker-stabs at you, but, if you are lucky enough, you can break free before getting stabbed. The blue jacket nurses are generally easy to kill, whilst the green jacket ones are the ones to really worry about.
PUPPET DOCTOR

These are rarer, but are exactly like the Puppet Nurses. These Doctors are stronger and harder to kill than the female counter-part, but their strategy remains the same.
HANGED SCRATCHER

These are found in the sewers and hide in the darkness. They usually hang from above and attack you as you run under them. Beware, because in packs they are deadly. They are fast, and will drop from the ceiling to get you. They are weak and only take a few shots to kill, though it is hard to tell if they are dead/dying;
WORMHEAD

These are variants of the Groaners only found in the Alternate Silent Hill. They are much more deadly and much faster. They are fairly strong too. Do not spend a whole lot of time fighting these as they can be avoided.
NIGHT FLUTTER

These are variants of the Air Screamers only found in Alternate Silent Hill. They are much more deadly and much faster. They are fairly strong too and much quicker to attack. Do not spend a whole lot of time fighting these as they can be avoided.
BLOOD SUCKER

These only show up a few times in the game. You'll find them in the hospital feeding off of a pool of blood -- they seem to come straight out of the wall. They can flail at you and attack you with very little damage, but cannot be killed. You can also catch a glimpse of them in Nowhere, inside of a fridge, if you do not use the Ring of Contract to secure the chain. They will burst out of the fridge and grab Harry by the leg, then pull him in.
LARVAL STALKER

These cute, squeaky little things do not harm you, but they do mess with your radio a little and make you think an actual enemy is nearby. They are clumsy and have a black, transparent tint to them. Do not be deceived, as they sometimes are in rooms with other enemies, and can distract you. They are found in select locations such as the school and amusement park.

STALKER

Matured versions of the harmless "Larval Stalkers" found only in Nowhere. These act, sound, and attack just like the Mumblers found in the schools, yet they are transparent and hard to see.
